Last weekend we had Tomato Battle in Dallas this weekend we have a RACE!!!

Hello to Soapbox Race in DFW on September 15th, 2012. This is Red Bulls first event in DFW. Red Bull Soap Box race is a national race for amateur drivers. It is a race of course they need speed but creativity, and competitive fun is extra points that you will get.

You will see many outrages vehicles racing at west of Dallas North Tollway. Race pit opens at 11am. First race is at 1pm. You will see the winner crowned at 5pm.

Ohhh I forgot to mention..The vehicles are human powered and racing down the hill against the clock!

Teamsare chosen by information they provided on the RED BULL application, and committee picks 40 teams base on the craft creativity, technical feasibility, safety and regulations guidelines so bring your imagination here in Dallas this weekend to see this amazing Race and Shows…

Where is Red Bull Soapbox event in Dallas? It is going to be in well-known Austin Ranch community on Windhaven Parkway, The Colony, TX. The Lone Star Film Society, The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth and New York’s respected Anthology Film Archives teamed up to bring the work of Russia’s youngest and brightest filmmakers in Dallas TX.

Well known Granada Theater welcomes the local folk pop duo drops latest album Marry a Stranger from Kirtland Records.  There is another surprise Jaret and Erik from Bowling for Soup will perform at 9pm and The Cush, the Triangleheads perform at 8pm.

Granada Theater built in 1946 by Phil Isley, opened during the Golden Age of Hollywood as a 700 seated Movie Theater. Lovely theater showed many well-known classic Hollywood films from Marlon Brando to Audrey Hepburn. The Granada Theater is a great example of Art Deco and classic style of those years. Over the years Granada hasn’t changed as an architecture but management and style has changed couple time. Granada opened doors again in 2004 as a better music venue with improved lights and sound system for Dallas music lovers. You will certainly have different experience at this lovely atmosphere that you will definitely enjoy.

This weekend is all about Dogs! There are many dog friendly events in Dallas that you can join with your furry friends. If you do not have a furry friend, you can still join to support these wonderful rescue groups.
There is a famous Project Pugway fashion show at the DFW Airport Hotel, 4440 W. Airport Freeway in Irving. This event is for the benefit of Pug Rescue. Great event include a bake sale, silent auction, photo booth, candy bar, vendors and more. Joining this event you will have lots of fun while supporting the community.

You will see the stylish pugs with the outfits from categories of spring, summer, fall, winter and, new this year homemade category.
